SunHouse has been an interictal part of the La Jolla community. Guided by the need for community leaders that strengthen relationships, middle school leader position is made to provide a safe place for students to be open, be themselves, and know they are loved. If you are motivated by these principles we encourage you to join our team!

Qualifications:

• Must be at least a second semester Sophmore in High School.

• Have basic knowledge of of age appropriate behavioral management.

• Ability to work collaboratively with teams

• Commitment to work towards a common goal of establishing relationship.

Responsibilities:

• Attendance and participation at (weekly) Wednesday Night Middle School Program (4:30pm-7:45pm) is mandatory. Middle School Ministry Volunteer Leader will fill a variety of roles including participation in set-up/clean-up, operation of audio/visual equipment, serving dinner, leading/participating in games, socializing with students, leading small-group conversations, crowd management, and responding to needs in real-time. [Consistency is vital to building a strong and healthy ministry leadership team. It is expected that if you have a significant reason to be absent from a Wednesday night program, you will notify the Director of Middle School Ministry (Abraham Musto) in advance.]

• Participation at Middle School Ministry events, camps/trips, and small group gatherings is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, and grow in your leadership experience. Attendance at any of these programs/events is optional.
