Want to be a VBS Leder?

Incoming 9th graders (and up) are invited to serve as leaders during Vacation Bible School (VBS), June 24-28, 2024.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an on-campus, day camp style week for kids Pre-K through 5th grade! This is a really fun way to volunteer with your friends and lead kids in songs/games/crafts/activities that point them toward Jesus!

We feed our high school student volunteers lunch, then take them to do something fun each afternoon.

Info about the afternoons for VBS volunteers:

We’re looking forward to having over 20 high school students on campus (in addition to several adults) to lead the kids of our community through packed days of food, fun, friends, and opportunities to grow in faith.

In addition to staying for the optional volunteer lunch after the morning of VBS, I want to extend a special invitation to our high school volunteers to stay after each day of volunteering for “VBS afternoons," a time just for our high school student volunteers to hang out together, and connect with our youth staff until 3PM.

To participate in VBS afternoons, high school students must be cleared to participate. Find details about how to get cleared at sunhouseonline.com/participation. Please fill out the participation information..  *Students, if you’re the one reading this, please make sure you relay this info to parents. We won’t be able to let you stay for the afternoon if you are not cleared to participate for VBS afternoons prior to the VBS week.*

-If you think you are already on our “all clear” list for VBS afternoons, you can confirm this with or direct any questions toward Lizzet Fitz (lizzetf@ljpres.org).

-Any questions about being a VBS volunteer in the mornings, please ask our children’s director, Susie (susied@ljpres.org).

-Any questions about VBS afternoons, please ask Sophie (sophien@ljpres.org).

We’re looking forward to a great week!
